Life is too short to live as per the will of God. People do not realise this fact and waste their time, live a sinful life. Instead of doing good things, they do negative things, instead of helping and loving others they fight with others. They work hard ignoring health to earn more and more money and later spend double of that earning on treatment. They forget to pray and experience the love of God in good health and seek God when become sick. Life is too short, hence we should try our best to do good and avoid negative, try to love and help others and avoid fighting. We do not know what will happen in next minute. Live as per the will of God to have eternal happiness.
Below are some of the Bible verses about Life is too short.
15 The life of mortals is like grass,
they flourish like a flower of the field;
16 the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.(Psalm 103)
For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall,(1 Peter 1:24)
You have swept them away like a flood, they fall asleep; In the morning they are like grass which sprouts anew. In the morning it flourishes and sprouts anew; Toward evening it fades and withers away.(Psalms 90:5-6)
Therefore their inhabitants were short of strength, They were dismayed and put to shame; They were as the vegetation of the field and as the green herb, As grass on the housetops is scorched before it is grown up.(Isaiah 37:27)
Below is a good parable. Some of us may be thinking and doing same like this. May be we are working far away from home or in other country. We work hard to earn money and deposit in Bank. We build big luxurious house at our native. We are doing this for a happy retired life. But we have no idea how long will live. Read the below The Parable of the Rich Fool and think about it. God is saying this to us.
13 Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”
14 Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?” 15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”
16 And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. 17 He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’
18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. 19 And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’
20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
21 “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”
